WHY GET AN AMATEUR (HAM) RADIO LICENSE.....How do I even do that?
Check out this link ^^^^ to find out about my personal journey in getting a license.

The Bellbrook Amateur Radio Club is the kind host of the repeater used for the Southwest Ohio Preparedness Net -- look them up, join up, and learn HAM!

The West Central Ohio Amateur Radio Association, another one of the fantastic local clubs in the Kettering/SW Ohio area.

The Mound Amateur Radio Association (MARA) is an awesome local group who is sponsoring classes for the FCC Technician Class & Examination.  They're gonna help you get your license.

The Dayton Amateur Radio Association (DARA) is another awesome local group, the largest, they put on the Hamvention every year -- if you didn't know, it's kinda a big deal.

Both of these groups would be a great place to start if you're looking for classes or info.
